Wedding Floral Inspirations

Just a few decades ago, wedding planning started with the bride-to-be pouring over endless mountains of bridal magazines. With a red marker, she would circle wedding inspirations to later be put into her wedding planning binder.

Times have changed, right?

Nowadays, brides search online for inspirations based on seasons, styles and themes. Whether you are planning a beach boho wedding or a farmhouse chic celebration, you will find thousands of ideas that will inspire your wedding planning. One of the most popular tools for the modern bride is Pinterest; especially when it comes to wedding floral inspirations.

After choosing your venue and whether your wedding ceremony will be outdoors or inside, your next step will be planning your ceremony decor. A beautiful floral arch or delicate petals lining the aisle will create the romantic atmosphere for your celebration. I love coordinating the venue and the floral together; having them melt together perfectly.

The next wedding planning step is planning your bouquet; the next best wedding day accessory. When planning your bouquet, I always take into consideration your wedding gown. Having the floral compliment and highlight your gown is very important. A classic bouquet or designing a bouquet filled with bright, colorful floral will tie into your ceremony and reception decor and theme.

Don’t forget the guys. Boutonnieres have grown from the classic single rose to a mixture of floral and greenery.

Last, but not least, the reception decor. Tall vases filled with lush flowers, unique deigns with a whimsical flare or a classic centerpiece filled with delicate blooms. From the moment your guests walk into your reception venue, the decor will set the tone for your celebration.

I work closely with my bride and groom to design and create floral decor for their wedding; making sure that each piece reflects their personalities, style and relationship. And then, on the big day, when I hand my bride her bouquet, or walk my couple into their reception venue; I watch their faces light up and see the pure joy in their eyes. I know that I have given them a slice of their dream. Creating these memorable moments for my couples is an exciting part of both a wedding planner and floral designer.
